Fantastic Finale for the Minis!
Posted by: Steve Kearns on Monday, April 28th, 2008On the last Saturday of the season we had glorious sunshine and 90 happy little Park minis playing their hearts out supported by hundreds of spectators. Graham Robson, Ed Cotterell and the team did a wonderful job and we hope this event becomes an annual fixture. Put your money on next years 7s bringing home plenty of silverware – they were magnificent.
It was great that so many came for the last day of the season. The Dad’s 7s was as usual fiercely competitive but all retired afterwards for the barbecue and many tales of derring-do this season.
News reaches us of another great tour for the 12s. After a day sailing on the Solent, a squad of As, Bs and Cs took on the finest teams in Hampshire and Dorset at the Isle of Wight Festival and ended runners up in a pulsating final.
Many congratulations to all on a thoroughly enjoyable season. Have a great summer.
