The squad started in September 2007 as Under 5s playing in Richmond Park headed up by Head Coach Richard White and Manager Nick Gardner.
Players played a number of skills based games and drills and ran relay races as they grew in to the sport of rugby.
Late on in the year as Under 6s the squad was arranged into teams to prepare for the inaugural Curry Cup and Teddington Festival where players aged 6 were able to take part in their first ever proper RFU event. There was lots of movement between the teams as young players develop at different speeds.
These teams were named after old Rosslyn Park members – Ripleys, Easters, Ciprianis, Obolenskys , Ackfords and Offiahs.
The squad had a very successful introduction to competition with almost everyone getting a taster of competitive rugby – through friendly triangular tournaments and with the Obolenskys as joint winners of the Teddington Festival U6s event.
