2011 / 12 Season

Our philosophy is that children will only learn if they are enjoying themselves. We judge success by whether the kids want to come back each week. We aim to teach the basic skills of the game and above all to instill a love of rugby which will last a lifetime.  The Minis at Rosslyn Park are a thriving and happy bunch of kids and we welcome everyone.

To join the Minis, please contact Jo Thesiger at minis@rosslynpark.co.uk who will be able to provide you with the appropriate form and advise you of the process.  Alternatively, our season will commence on Sunday, 4th September at 9.30am at the Clubhouse with registration, our first training session and we will kick off with a lunchtime BBQ for both Minis and Youth, so do come along and have some fun!

Rates and subscriptions

To become a Mini at Rosslyn Park it is necessary to become a member of the Club and pay the appropriate subscription. We are approaching a new season (2011/2012).  Last year, we  examined subscription rates and benefits throughout the club and made amendments to simplify and standardise rates across the whole club. In essence, we have split both the single and family membership into “Standard” and “Full” categories.  The difference between the two categories is that Full membership entitles members to free entrance into all home games.  Standard adult members will be charged £5 on the gate for each home game but Standard minis and youth players still have free admission.  From a Mini’s perspective, another key difference is that it will no longer be possible simply to register a child; a parent/carer will also have to join in tandem either as a Standard or Full member. This, in part, prevents those that work so hard for the minis as managers, coaches, etc but only have one child being unfairly penalised.  Family membership will cover only two children and each incremental child thereafter will incur an additional cost.

Standard £100 – adult/parent and child  – membership card gives child free admission to 1st XV home games, concessions on ticket price for adult.

Full Standard £150 – adult/parent and child – membership card gives free admission to both adult and child to 1st XV home games.

Family £150 – 2 adults/parents and two children – Membership card gives children free admission to 1st XV home games, concessions on ticket price for adult.

Full Family £200 – 2 adults/parents and two children – Membership card gives free admission to both adult and children to 1st XV home games.

Additional child £25 – Any incremental siblings beyond two children – free admission to 1st XV home games.

Payment for minis and youth must be made by standing order and received by the club by the 1st September 2011, so that players are insured before the start of the season.  Players joining at the start or in the middle of the season are allowed a couple of weeks trial period before committing to the season. If they continue attending training after two weeks, payment must  immediately be made to the club by standing order, so the player is insured.  Please obtain a registration and standing order form from Jo Thesiger at minis@rosslynpark.co.uk
