Under 17s
Last season we narrowly missed the Division title on the last day of the season, but won promotion to Division 1 of the Surrey League.
Due to school pressures, the team voted not to take up their league promotion in favour of playing friendlies and touring in the 2011/12 season. We are very open to new players, so please get in touch by emailing stephengcooper@lineone.net or call 07946 531139.
So far we have games arranged against Geneva (touring side), Richmond, Ealing and next term against Saracens. There will be more fixtures after Xmas as school pressures relax. We will not train regularly on Sundays as most boys are training 3/4 days with schools.
All new players are welcome, whether you play rugby at school or not. We have boys who have played since they were 7, and players who started rugby 2 years ago.
We have a proud history of touring as far afield as Newcastle and France, from a wave-tossed beach in Wales (when pitches were declared unfit) to autumn floodlights in Compiegne. We have been guests of honour at Newcastle Falcons and Stade Francais. England players, Jason Leonard, Danny Cipriani and Danny Care have all been our guests at dinner/awards giving.
